Unusual events
It’s only March and I’ve already had the pleasure of daylight savings time twice this year. Here in .be we call it "zomertijd" (literally: summertime), looking outside proves that daylight savings is a much better suited term.
This extra hour of messing around with my sleep anti-pattern (there’s no such thing as a pattern in my sleeping hours unfortunately) has caused complete instability during most of March. Flying out to the US first week (6hr difference), daylight savings in the US, another week US, back to belgium (5hr difference), one week to adjust to belgian time, a week feeling semi-awake, daylight savings time, completely wrong…
Or summarized, if I have been short in my answers, not really happy or overly friendly, looking tired or otherwise annoyed…blame daylight savings time
All in all, I still love the fact that I arrive home after work while there’s still daylight. Even though I am a notorious night elf (without mohawk) I actually enjoy a bit of natural light in my appartment every now and again.
